Cinderford Warehouse
The 71,000 sq ft warehouse site opened at Cinderford
1995 to extend the company's operations. The site has a Weighbridge,
Fuel Facility, Co-packing unit and Container Loading facility.
The following year, an additional 21,000 sq ft warehouse
was built.
The storage facilities consist of both mobile/static
racking, all of which are controlled on our computerised stock system.
The stock is also controlled by a bar coding system, recently introduced.
The prime benefit of a bar code driven stock control system is:
* Accurate retrieval without delay
* Visibility and immediacy
* Reporting
* Delivery and Collection
The allocation of a bar code to every pallet or stock
line and the verification of every item to the database electronically,
reduces human error to a minimum. Once logged, the item in the pallet
and the location of the pallet are permanently linked.
The database is located on a series of secure servers
for security and access reasons. At any time a report can be generated
to show all stock held on-site, all items in transit, and the history
of stock movements.
Normally a price is negotiated per pallet per week.
The price reflects the size of the pallet (Euro 1200 x 1000 etc and
the height) the number of pallets and the service levels required.
Other pricing structure may be considered. The contract price per
pallet per week includes the following:
* Reception and unloading
* Initial database construction
* Secure storage of the item in risk assessed premises
* Management of the stock control database
* Loading for return
The client base consists of large international
companies, for which we store and export their product. Export stock
is stored at the Longhope Export Transit Warehouse.
The site also has a co packer unit, which
is responsible for a requested packing operation by the customer.
